Empowering Auto is a Canada-based nonprofit dedicated to increasing the representation and retention of women and allies in the Canadian automotive industry. Led by a small team of passionate co-founders, we host an annual industry conference, offer mentorship programs, organize networking events, and run student outreach initiatives to help bring fresh talent into the sector.

What began as a grassroots half-day event at Hyundai Canada has grown into a national movement. In 2022, co-founders Katherine Mior and Aryan Habib relaunched the initiative with support from Hyundai and a bold vision for post-pandemic growth. Since then, Empowering Auto has become a federally incorporated nonprofit—working across company lines to build a more inclusive, forward-thinking automotive industry in Canada.
