CO-FOUNDER & DIRECTOR

Katherine Mior (pronoun she/her) is manager, HR & DEI at Hyundai Auto Canada Corp., a new human resources position created with the specific aim of advancing training, awareness and career development opportunities for under-represented groups. Through partnership, recruitment strategies and on-going conversations, Katherine’s goal is to build a stronger, more diverse auto industry, with Hyundai leading by example. Katherine is passionate about creating an inclusive and welcoming culture, as well as, supporting team members achieve their career goals and dreams! Katherine is also an active member in all three of Hyundai’s ERG’s Women@HAC, Inclusion@HAC and Parents@HAC.

Katherine brings over 12 years of human resources experience, including six years with Hyundai Canada, where she’s held two roles of increasing responsibility, human resources generalist, and senior human resources generalist. Prior to joining Hyundai, Katherine fostered her HR career at CaTECH Systems Ltd., where she was involved in everything from health and safety; performance reviews; payroll; new hire orientation; and recruitment, just to name a few.

Outside of work Katherine has a 2.5-year-old, William with partner Brad and a feisty 11-year-old Jack Russell, Jack (enter name jokes here). Katherine recently completed two certificates, Leadership Development and Leadership and Inclusion at Centennial College.
